Answer:
I wish I would have started when I was 17 I probably would have been retired by now. E-bay is a good way to make money but there is so much compitition on it that it might not be the best way to go. I would start a website for the products, you can always find way;s to promote a website, and sell the same product on E-bay now you have two way’s of selling the product. Check out http://www.firstinforeview.com/internetb… for a quick and easy way to start a website.

Answer:
Just like you are now tell me about your magazine some more maybe I would be intrested, I am a web developer and find that sometimes to get customers you just have to go out there and talk to people. Also you can advertise on web pages every bussiness owner wants and needs to get the good word out about themselves. And a website would help you if you dont already have one Let me know maybe we can exchange services.

(I am thinking about starting an online business, but I am not sure where to start. I know I need a website designed, but I am wondering about e-commerce sites and what are good products to sell online)

Answer :
Anyone can create a website with many of the programs and templates that are available from the hosting companies. The difficult part is getting traffic to your website from people who will actually buy the products you offer.

You need products that people are looking for – either because they are popular, unique or fulfill some unmet need.

It would probably be easiest to get started as an independent distributor or rep for a company that provides you with a company website. Then you will already have the products and the payment gateway for online sales and you earn a commission from the sales. Look for products that you like, are consumable and purchased by most families several times a year. Most companies will also offer free training to teach you some marketing techniques.

Then drive traffic to your company website by purchasing a domain name and creating your own personal website with links to your company website. You may eventually want to sign up as a distributor for more than one company or add some affiliate program links for other products related to your website topic or theme to earn multiple streams of income.

Then to market and send traffic to your personal website you will need to learn and use several techniques: email, blogging, social networking other ways to create back links. It takes time, but through consistent effort it can be done.

There are so many websites out there that simply building a website with a bunch of products is not likely to be profitable. It is easier if you have the products, support and training from a company who uses independent distributors to market their products.

(I am planning to put up a website online service business in the philippines. Where can i find an agency or individual that offers financial support for people wanting to put up a business?)

Answer – Chosen by Voters
A true business credit card is a line of credit that is taken in the name of the business, under the business’ credit. Activity, whether good or bad, is reflected on your business’ credit report through D&B and other financial institutions, and the liability for any debts incurred and bills owed is with the business. However, some companies out there offer “business” credit cards which they require a person guarantee for. These institutions will often ask for a personal guarantee, and will almost always ask for a social security number from the person applying for the card. If this is the case, the credit card is not a business credit card, but is simply a personal credit card which is used for the business. The business is not liable for bills and debts – you are. When applying for a credit card for your business, watch out for areas asking for your SSN (and not your TaxID or EIN) and be wary of any credit card that asks for a personal guarantee. By ensuring that your credit card is in the name of your business, you can help to build your business’ credit, while avoiding creating problems with your own.

Many companies offer a list of credit cards that are issued under the business name only. Those lists typically run $300-$900, depending on the quality of the information inquiring. I would suggest starting your search online via google or yahoo. Search for “strong business credit” (just like that in quotes) to find services that sell the information.

What college courses should I enroll in if I want to become an Avon lady? Also, does Avon provide cool, pink cars like Mary Kay? My neighbor drives around town in a pink Mary Kay car, and I’m thinking that is going to be my goal as well, only I really want to stay in the Avon company. )

Answer:
Yeah! And if you get the pink car, you could come scoop me up after work hours, and we could be prostitutes together, and sell sex in the back seat for some extra cash!

(I am seriously thinking about starting an at home bakery business and making cookies, muffins, biscotti and more. I have no idea where to begin. I really need help with the legal part of it and how and where to advertise.)

Answer :
Depending upon what state you live in, it may not be possible to do this (eg. in Florida a commercial kitchen may not be connected to a domicile.)
Your kitchen will have to be able to pass regular inspection by the health department.
You have to get a business license and register the name of your business with the state.
IF you plan on having employees, you will have other legal bases to cover.

I don’t know what your experience is with baking, but I don’t recommend trying this business out of your home. It will be highly difficult to maintain product quality and the level of production that you want without some serious equipment.

The better business bureau is one choice, but a better one might be the Department for Consumer Affairs. You can find their number in any phone book.

(I hear from a lot of people that if you go to a business and ask for an application and they refuse that that’s against the law. By Law they have to give you an application whether they’re hiring or not and they have to keep it on file for 6 months. I’d like to see the exact law that states that. I tried looking on the California employment and regulations site, but it’s a real mess and hard to find anything in there. I’m hoping someone here can state the exact law.)

Answer :
Their is no such law. The only law that is close to what your saying is that you have a right to go to a business and ask for a applications if they are hiring. They can’t say oh no we can’t give you it cuz your not our type. Or flat out no. Even if lets say your a highschool student and applying for a engineering job. Even though the highschool kid has no college degrees in engineering the business can’t refuse to give him an application for the job.
By law you can’t refuse someone even unqualified to apply for a open job at a business. It is called the equal employment opportunity act. I am not sure if it’s a state statue or a federal one.
That is the only law their is… what your hearing is wrong. If a business is not looking for anyone they don’t have to give applications to everyone even though they have no job offering.
So who ever told you about what your asking is mainly confused and didn’t fully understand the equal unemployment opportunity act.
The act forces all business that they must allow anyone to take a application to any job your offering even if the person is unqualified. Which means everyone has a fair chance of trying to get the job.
If your unqualified for the job you will be filtered out at the application part.

What are some surefire ways new owners WILL destroy an established business?)

Answer :
One way is to layoff all the old staff and bring in new workers.
Another way is to treat old customers like they have never been there before.
A third way is to change the old stock and up the pieces on new stock.
With an established business it is unwise to change the format to quickly. Let the clientele get use to the new management first.
A Corporation is living being without a soul.
