Mr. Yang Jiechi met with his Kazakh counterpart

The news agency Xinhua announced that the Chinese Minister of Foreign Affairs Yang Jiechi met with his counterpart in Kazakhstan Saudabayev February 23 in Beijing.

Mr. Yang said that China wants to raise with the efforts of the Government of Kazakhstan, the two countries’ relations to a higher level. China hopes to continue to maintain high level exchanges with the Kazakh side, deepen cooperation in the field of economy, transport and culture, strengthen coordination in multilateral affairs of the United Nations and the Organization Shanghai Cooperation, and advance the Sino-Kazakh relations.

Kazakh side, Mr. Saudabayev stressed that his country firmly supports China’s position on issues related to Taiwanese and Tibetan regions, aiming to maintain the stability of countries and ethnic cohesion. Kazakhstan also supports the fight against “three forces” of terrorism, extremism and separatism.
