Yes they do. My daughter in-law traveled from California to Boston and she wanted to take her two cats, but her airline did not allow two cats in one cage, so…she had to pay an additional FULL fare in order to put the extra cat carrier on the seat next to her. It most be love, love, love…
Some wonder why they charge. They charge because they say “we are providing you a service, you want to be with your friend, and we enable you to do so”.
I forget the website, but there is one with ALL the airlines, what they charge and their rules: pregnant pets, 2 pets in one carrier, carrier size, etc.
Trivia: Years ago pets were not allowed in the cabin, the only exception was a seeing eye dog. All pets rode “downstairs”, in the baggage compartment! And yes, you still had to pay for transportation.
