About us
Qandak — Afghanistan's First Marketplace in Europe
Qandak is the first dedicated marketplace bringing Afghan entrepreneurship to Europe. We were built on a simple idea: Afghan products and Afghan-oriented services deserve a single, trusted home — one address where quality, authenticity, and community come together.
Our Platform
Qandak connects Afghan entrepreneurs selling Afghan products and services across Europe, the United States, and Canada. Whether it's traditional food and spices, handcrafted goods, textiles, jewelry, or services rooted in Afghan culture, our vendors bring their offerings together under one roof — reaching customers who might otherwise never have found them.
By bringing vendors together rather than leaving them to compete in isolation, Qandak creates space for healthy, creative competition. That competition raises standards, encourages innovation, and strengthens something bigger than any single seller: trust in "Made in Afghanistan." Every vendor on our platform benefits from a collective reputation built on quality and reliability — and every customer benefits from greater choice and confidence.
Why It Matters
For the Afghan diaspora across Europe, the US, and Canada, Qandak makes it easier than ever to find the products and services that connect them to home. But our ambitions reach further. We want Qandak to be the address host communities turn to when they want to explore, discover, and purchase Afghan products — a place where anyone, regardless of background, can shop with confidence.
That confidence is backed by something most individual vendors simply can't offer on their own: a marketplace-wide return and refund policy. It's a standard of buyer protection rarely available when purchasing directly from independent sellers, and it's central to how we build trust — one purchase at a time.
Our Mission
To unite Afghan entrepreneurs under one platform, expand access to authentically Afghan products and services, and build lasting trust in "Made in Afghanistan" — for the diaspora, and for everyone discovering it for the first time.
A logical exception...for now
Although we are dedicated to Afghan products, products that are produced in Afghanistan and/or by Afghans; but we are also selling a small range of non-Afghan products. Our logic to this exception is simple; if a product's use is prevalent among Afghans in Afghanistan or elsewhere, which in-turn has shaped Afghan's consumption culture in regards to it, although such a product is not made in Afghanistan, it's still part of the consumption culture.
